The theme of this year’s conference is “Tap into the Language of English Learners.” Be inspired as we continue seeking ways to infuse language development into 21st century teaching and learning. Educators will expand their knowledge with evidence-based strategies designed for working with English Language Learners (ELLs). Presentations will be framed around relevant topics that directly impact the academic success of ELLs. The keynote speaker, Dr. Sandra Mercuri, Assistant Professor at University of Texas at Brownsville, is a national and an international presenter on issues of second language acquisition, bilingualism, teacher training, and ELL strategies.

Sign on to a 21st century technology-filled classroom with the reading/writing connection, process learning, genre integration, content-area literacy, and support for the struggling student and the English Language Learner.
