Welcome to Child Nutrition Services
Region 4 Child Nutrition provides a comprehensive range of technical services designed to assist in meeting federal, state, and local program requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture's National School Lunch Program. Child Nutrition staff conduct SMI technical assistance reviews, provide technical assistance in preparing districts for the CRE, offer trainings during the school year, and provide summer workshops for administrative and campus food service personnel.

Resource Library:
Child Nutrition Services at Region 4 maintains a resource library consisting of manuals, kits, videos and CD’s to be used as reference information and training for school food service personnel. The Resource Library Guide is a complete list of all materials available in the Region 4 Child Nutrition Resource Library. All materials are available for loan to any Region 4 food service department free of charge. Materials must be picked up at Region 4. The person submitting the request will be responsible for returning Resource Library Materials to Region 4 after four weeks. Materials are not available to be checked out from May 1st through August 1st each year due to Summer Workshops. In order to request materials, please print the Materials Request Form, complete, and fax to 713.744.4419 or you may submit via email by following the instructions on the form. You will be notified via email when your materials are ready to be picked up at Region 4.
